The Leon Foundation is a 501-(c)3 designated charitable organization that through our dedicated efforts, we strive to make a meaningful impact by supporting organizations and charities, domestically and internationally, that align with our core values and commitment to fostering a better world. Our mission encompasses a range of initiatives aimed at addressing critical issues that affect communities and individuals globally.

 

At the Leon Foundation we believe philanthropy has a responsibility to reach beyond geographic boundaries and respond where human need is most profound. Whether confronting extreme poverty, humanitarian crisis, displacement, or the consequences of war and conflict, chief among our goals we seek to support organizations working on the ground to preserve human dignity, relieve suffering, create opportunity, foster creative expression, safeguard cultural heritage and help communities build a path toward a more secure and peaceful future.

 

At the Leon Foundation, we are devoted to:

• Alleviating extreme poverty and human suffering by supporting resources, opportunities, humanitarian assistance, and sustainable solutions that uplift those most in need. We place particular emphasis on underserved populations and communities facing severe poverty, displacement, humanitarian crisis, or the devastating effects of conflict and war.

• Expanding access to quality education for underserved and vulnerable populations, including but not limited to children and communities affected by poverty, displacement, instability, and conflict. We believe education can provide not only opportunity, but also a pathway toward resilience, self-sufficiency, and a more hopeful future.  At the Foundation we empower individuals with the tools and knowledge they need to unlock their potential and create brighter futures.

• Advancing public justice, human rights, and peace by supporting initiatives that promote equity, fairness, human dignity, and the protection of fundamental rights. This commitment includes supporting vulnerable populations affected by violence, persecution, displacement, and conflict, as well as organizations working to advance peace-building, reconciliation, and lasting solutions in conflict-affected communities.

• We believe in the transformative power of arts and culture and seek to enrich communities by encouraging creative expression, preserving cultural heritage, and fostering understanding through artistic endeavors.
